Before I was a stay at home mom, I worked as a teacher’s aide at the local grade school. It definitely wasn’t on my career goal list, but it just fell into my lap. I worked with several other teachers, helped with math homework, worked a little bit in the library, and was an assistant coach on the volleyball team. It was a fun job, one that led to me getting my substitute teaching certificate, so now I sub at the same school when I can. It was a rewarding job, too. Nothing beats the smile on a student’s face when they finally understand what you are trying to teach them. I liked being an encourager to those that seemed to be struggling. I liked being a trusted adult in their lives. But mostly, I liked the camaraderie with the other teachers in the building. I saw the effort and the resources and the time that they put into these young kids lives and it was astonishing! The amount of work that teachers do for their class and their school is something I am very, very thankful for, even more so now that Brayden is in school! Brayden absolutely loves his teacher this year, so I thought it would be fun to do a little thank you for her. It goes without saying that teachers are a backbone in our kid’s lives, and we should give extra, especially this time of year!
I whipped up this cute little printable, perfect for use at any time of the school year! I added some Extra Gum, taped on the back so it would stay. Voila! A sweet, heartfelt teacher gift for any time you want to show a little more thanks. Simply click the image, then print! I printed mine on white card stock, so it would be a little more sturdy when Brayden takes it to his teacher. I know he can’t wait to deliver this! This printable can be used for more than just teachers– think of coworkers, friends, family, or even local heroes like fireman and police officers.
How to do you show your thanks to teachers or others that are impacting your life?
