Whew! Happy 2018, everyone! After recovering from a busy Christmas season, our 2018 started with a round of the stomach flu for the kids and I, back to school/work for one day, then followed by three snow days (below zero temps and icy roads). The good news is, I got a lot of things done around the house including some organizing in the basement, but we were SO ready for our normal routine! The kids got several new board games for Christmas, so we played a lot of those, tidied up the house, and watched a few classic movies that they had never seen.
School is back in session today and we are plugging forward into a new year. I love the slowness that this season brings. A few less things on the calendar compared to December, a few cabinets organized, and a fresh month in my planner.
Here’s what is on deck for January:
80 Day Obsession
Autumn Calabrese from Beachbody has developed a new program that launches Monday! It’s going to be amazing, but also one of the toughest fitness challenges I have encountered. Learn more about it HERE!
A Simplified Life
I am going to start reading Emily Ley’s newest release, A Simplified Life. I have seen nothing bur rave reviews, so I can’t wait to dive in! I want to read more this year, so if you have any good book recommendations, pass them my way!
Maybe some snowy fun?
We had a fair amount of snow over Christmas break, but it got so cold that it wasn’t even fun to play outside! The kids lasted 5 minutes this day, and we did some sledding last weekend. Everything is melting for now- so we will see what the rest of the month brings.
How is your 2018 starting out?
