When I first met Brandon, I knew that farming was his first love. Listening to him tell me stories of farming with his dad and grandpa when he was little was always so heartwarming, as I have fond memories of doing things with my dad and grandpa, too. It’s been in his blood from the time he was little and nothing brings him more joy than being out in the fields. He is always eager to let the kids help and learn, and now that we leave “on the farm”, it has taken on a whole new appreciation for us.
I have had the opportunity to take photos for one of the local grain elevators during the harvest and planting seasons, so when they asked if I could do a 3 generation photo for their website, I immediately said yes and mentioned that I could do one better.

It’s a photo that I have wanted to take for a long time, we just kept putting it off. It’s not easy to get the boys to stop what they are doing, but sometimes, you have to take a moment for something that seems small.
I will forever treasure this photo and the memories that come with it. Brayden doesn’t know how lucky he is to have a great-grandpa in his life, passing down a legacy that he will be so proud of one day. He passed it down to my husband, too, and it’s something we don’t take for granted. I am so proud to be a part of this farm family and I know that generations to come will be, too.
