It’s FRIDAY! Hooray! The last Friday before school starts which means I am trying to do a billion things before that day arrives. It’s a strange sort of nesting that’s happening over here, trying to get us back on a more structured routine. We are doing earlier bedtimes, trying to get better about putting away what we get out, and not snacking every other second, which has been the bane of my existence all summer long. I will NOT be sad to not hear that question 24/7. I am trying to put in a few more “work” hours for me so that I have it built into my schedule, and I have a HUGE list of things I want to tackle when the kids are back in school. We’ll see how much I can get accomplished when I have THREE GLORIOUS HOURS to myself in the mornings.
One thing I am hoping to do more of this school year is have a little quiet time with a book in the morning after the kids get on the bus. If I can get up and get my workout in before the kids are up, that’s the best chance of success I have for getting some ME time in the morning. I have a few personal development books on my list, but the first one I want to tackle is this one.
This bracelet from Krafty Kash is becoming a new favorite of mine for two reasons. One, I am addicted to bangle style bracelets and two, I am from Nebraska where Krafty Kash is based. Their jewelry is one of a kind, taken from vintage books and dictionaries. They started out by making homemade gifts for their children’s teachers and it soon expanded into an Etsy store online and craft shows and vintage fairs as well. This bracelet is a simple piece yet stunning, and I love that it has some history behind it. You can customize your own however you would like– they have so many great options, and they make wonderful gifts! If you want to get ahead on your teacher appreciation or other gifts this year, now is the time! Use code justjulieann for 10% off!
I pinned a few recipes this week that I can’t wait to try!
