In January, I recommitted myself to a healthier lifestyle after my sister noticed on my FitBit that my resting heart rate was really high. I have struggled in the past to keep consistently working out and eating well, but she really challenged me and I took her on.
I did a round of 21 Day Fix and lost 6 pounds in January, and I have been plugging along ever since, losing a total of 11 pounds from January 4th to now. Slowly but surely I have been working out more, eating less processed junk, and drinking tons of water. It’s finally becoming a lifestyle change.
It has been HARD WORK.
I love to bake and snack and bake, and bake. I pretty much quit pop altogether and I have really been limiting my alcohol intake. I am reaching for fruits and veggies for snacks, taking water with me everywhere I go, and drinking Shakeology every single day. I am noticing that I have a lot more energy, I am more clear headed, and I am sleeping better. I quit taking my sleep medication in late December and I am SO glad I am not on that anymore. I am keeping up with my kids better, encouraging them to play more outside. We take walks and bike rides and they know that my workouts are important to me. I love that I am setting a good example for them! I am also a new BeachBody Coach which is really, really exciting.

I hate taking progress pictures. I dread it. I always think I won’t need them. But then I get a wild hair and decide to do a side by side and I am blown away. You may not see much difference here, but I do.
The confidence I have from working out has got to be the absolute biggest change. I told my sister last fall when she did Insanity that she was, in fact, INSANE and that I could never do it. Starting this Monday, I am doing the Insanity Max:30 challenge with her– and I can’t WAIT to see the results.
If you are at a crossroads in your fitness journey, I encourage you to KEEP GOING. It’s worth it! Follow me on Instagram for more updates, too!
