Now that Brayden and Kenley are in school, class parties are one thing on my list that I have never had to worry about until now. I was picked to make the snack for Brayden’s class party. I wanted to do something creative yet simple, and slightly out of the box. Enter: OREO Mummy Treats!
To make these, you will need:
OREO cookies (check out the specially marked Glow in the Dark packaging at WalMart!)
white melting chocolate
Carefully melt the chocolate according to the package directions.
Put the melted chocolate into a piping bag or small plastic baggie, then snip the end off. Lay the OREO cookies on a sheet of waxed paper, place the eyes on the top 1/4 of the cookie, then carefully make lines across the cookies to look like a mummy wrap.
Allow the melted chocolate to set, then place them in a storage container to keep them until your kids class party! These would also be cute bagged individually for trick or treaters!
For more Halloween fun, I made Fanta Creamsicle floats for the kids as a special treat. You will need orange Fanta and vanilla ice cream for this refreshing treat!
Place one or two scoops of vanilla ice cream in a glass, then pour orange Fanta over the top! You could also make this in a punch bowl for a larger group. Simple and fun, and another great Halloween idea for a class party!
Brayden is really excited for his class party, especially now that he has seen what he is bringing for snack, and I like being the fun mom that can go outside of the box a little!
