I used to cut my bangs in the fall for something different. I love the feel of a fresh style, and after having kids, I always felt better after a little change! The bangs served two purposes- they were very fashion forward AND they did a great job of hiding my postpartum hair loss. I always grew them back out for summer so they wouldn’t be in my face all of the time. Growing them out can be tough! Now that they are at a good length, I use two ways to pin them out of my face that will be perfect for the upcoming summer months.
First, I wash my hair with Garnier Whole Blends Nourishing Hair Care with Avocado Oil and Shea Butter Extracts. Their 3 part system is great for smoothing my dry hair! I use the shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. Then, blow dry as normal and I add just a couple big curls to the ends.
The first step to both of these styles is to take hair from each side of a center part, about an inch or so.
For the twisted back style, divide that section of hair into two sections.
Wrap end over end until you work your way down making sure to leave enough hair to pin at the bottom.
Secure a bobby pin or two at the end, and voila! You could even take this one step further and put the rest of your hair into a ponytail to get it all off of your shoulders.
The second way I pin my bangs back is to take hair from either side of my center part, then take that section of hair to one side of my head. I gently twist that section at the end once or twice so it holds well.
Secure with two bobby pins and voila! Done! Then, from the front, I tug a little so the hair isn’t held tight to my head. This gives it a little lift and dimension.
Again, you could pull the rest of your hair into a ponytail or messy bun and be out the door and on your way.
With the Garnier Whole Blends Nourishing Hair Care, my hair is not nearly as dry and brittle, which can happen to me because of how thick and course my hair is. The smell of this product is SO good, too. It reminds me of summer days! Oh, how I can’t wait for summer days! The hair mask is my favorite of the three. It has really made a visible difference in my hair in just a weeks worth of use!
